## Note on the blog name
I mistakenly bought the domain for the root word "sthāpana" (used to mean "establishment" in a general sense) instead of the root "samsthāpana" (used for the establishment of institutions and other larger societal bodies). But it's a small mistake, and I already spent the money, so we're sticking with this domain. However, a
# About
My name is Pranamya, and I'm currently the main (and only) author of this blog & wiki. I'm a 20 year old computer science student in India. I lived for a foundational majority of my life in Dallas, Texas (yes, that's right- good ol' America) and have considered myself an American by culture, regardless of the fact that I had neither citizenship nor permanent residence after over a decade of stay.
Due to complications, I recently returned to Hyderabad, India out of pure necessity. However, after spending a couple of months here, I realized that I still have a lot to learn about my roots as an Indian.
Before I returned and enrolled in an Indian university, I was working towards a B.A. in Philosophy at an American university. Unfortunately, due to a lack of available programs by my date of my sudden return, I was unable to enroll in a similar program here. Due to the emphasis on mathematics and logic placed by computer science programs, it seemed like the next best option for me.
However, as usual, my love for philosophy *must* have an outlet, and so I’ve been pursuing it independently.
In my continued journey constantly honing my thinking, however, I have come to realize that I must write. I have to document my thoughts and publish them in order to keep my mind sharp and my ideas relevant.
I desire to use the blog to express my own ethical viewpoints. I also want to build a comprehensive wiki database of Indian philosophy, especially the realm of ethics/morality & value theory. I will reference on other branches of philosophy as needed.
